Race Map of America: Black to White

The New York Times has put up a map tool linked to US Census data, cutting across race, education, income, and housing. Interesting tool for setting a context for looking at where this country has been, is presently, and where it seems to be going. Check it out (here).

This isn't an accurate race map unless they change the name of the map to "colonized United States map." This map leaves out the First People, you know the 560 + tribes that are on what is colonized United States or known to Native peoples as "Turtle Island." I'm am not surprised though because we are often left out of the discussion about race in mainstream society.

This is why I blog to give voice to an invisible minority.
