Walter "Sweetness" Payton: Timeless
This time of year (on Sundays) I always remember one of the greatest to ever play any game. Sweetness was his handle, but 'air' was his domain. Check out two YouTube minutes of the man, if you doubt me. (here)

Aw, Walter Payton was the greatest. I remember a game where he not only rushed for a touchdown or two, but also passed for a touchdown, and even performed either punting or kicking duties.
Every single time he was tackled, he held the ball by the very tip and stretched his arms ar far as humanly possible for that extra yardage. And yes, those goal line touch downs. He was unstoppable.
It still angers me to this day that instead of rightfully handing him the ball during the Super bowl some fool decided the Richard Perry circus was more important. Grr.
