Just to show that I am not a knee-jerk racist-accusing zealot, I did not find this ad racist. The company may owe Ms. Campbell a fee for use of her name and diva-ish reputation, but the reference would seem clearly positive - as I have yet to meet a female who does not love chocolate. I prefer dark chocolate. And I believe that Naomi Campbell needs anger management classes and a Dove bar (the ice cream, not the soap).

ReplyDeleteTantamount to calling white blonde's, "vanilla's" or Asians, "bananas" or "lemondrops" or some other yellowish food. Etc., etc. I just don't feel it's right.
and they owe her money if they're going to use her to sell chocolate. But I don't think it's about money now.

Chocolate is alot sweeter than Naomi Campbell ... I would hesitate to buy that chocolate ...
