  1. Nope. I don't get it. Are you upset? Is one of them a scary monster?

Bowing lower than someone else in Japan is saying that you honor their higher status. In Japan, it's a polite and flattering thing to do, indicative of a humble nature, but it's galling to many Americans to see Obama doing this because we think "we're the best".

Whatever. I'm sure the Japanese thought it was a wonderful gesture and are commenting on what a great president we have.

sungod is right, you are not supposed to bow and shake hands at the same time.

The royalty in question seems highly amused, however.

    Obama is so beta.

So now showing respect is "acting white?" Despite the fact that the man shouldn't even be president in the first place, I think it was a nice gesture.

Let's worry about PR and gestures. Much more important than policies, such as destruction of the currency and economy, support for the Big Brother state, spreading war, and robbing working people. This guy is a fraud. But you've zeroed right in on what really matters. Wow.

Whoa buddy. First, let's not blame Obama for all those. Destruction of the currency and economy? None of that happened under Obama, but before. Robbing working people? Explain that one. Big Brother state? Explain. Spreading war...Obama recently reconsidered his decision of sending more troops to Afghanistan. Plus he has mostly used diplomacy with Iran at the moment. Fraud? He hasn't even presided a year yet...let's see what he does.

Last I heard it's government of, by and for the people.....

But I guess the NEA took that out of the curriculum.

I think Obama/Barry is a very accurate representation of the "majority" of Americans.

A fraud and a sap, out to screw others out of as much as they can. No morals, no conscious, no integrity, of poor character, a sell out destroying America for a quick buck.

Actually, this is a pretty big faux pas in Japanese culture.
